Joe and i were invited to the US NAVY base in Yokosuka on monday, we went with our friend Frank who is stationed there. We had a wonderful time exploring and looking at all the ships. On our way to the US base we passed the Japanese NAVY base, now if you remember monday was the day North Korea did some weapon testing which caused a little bit of an uproar around the world. Well the comforting things is that we were in the vicinity of both the US and Japanese NAVY bases and neither of them seemed to be concerned at all with what was going on in North Korea. I am not trying to dumb down what is happening in North Korea i just simply saying that the mood here is very calm and relaxed even on base.
Now with all this talk of nuclear weapons and war we have even more of a reason to share the gospel with the Japanese. I am hoping that God will continue to open doors and right now if those doors are opened by conversations of war and weaponry then so be it.
Please pray for Frank he is living the life of a Christian on base and it is not always the easiest thing to do.
